Flying birds are an important safety hazard for the power industry, and substations are ideal places for flying birds to forage, rest, and build nests. Many accidents are caused by birds building nests and bunches in transformer substations, such as the connection of sensors by black manure, which can cause short circuits and damage expensive equipment components. Therefore, bird pest prevention has always been an important component of the work of the power operation and maintenance department.
In many cases, existing traditional bird removal methods are not suitable for substation locations, and bird removal needs to maintain sustainable and long-term effectiveness. Guangxi Power Supply Company uses a new bird repelling method, AI video laser comprehensive bird repelling device (model: ZQN-QNS-100-AI), which is a bird repelling device designed and produced by Shenzhen Zhenquniao Technology Co., Ltd. for bird prevention work in substations. It uses a specific wavelength of laser to disperse birds, achieving the goal of harmless bird repelling.
The laser bird repellent in the substation is powered by solar energy and Leidian's Hongdian, combined with a fully automatic Junzhuan Yuntai to continuously scan important areas. By using a 520nm green laser scanning circuit, it can automatically cover the entire substation continuously and fully, achieving the requirements of long-distance and comprehensive vertical protection. Most crows are very sensitive to green lasers and can have immediate adverse reactions. Due to the dynamic threat of the laser beam constantly moving at random times, the substation laser crow repellent prevents birds from responding and immediately flies away, effectively reducing the harm caused by many birds.
