What's "bird damage"?

Bird damage refers to the hazards brought to human life by the habits of birds, including the destruction of crops, the impact on power facilities and the threat to aviation safety, among which the impact on power facilities is particularly serious.

In nature, birds are natural architects. They build nests using materials such as twigs, leaves, feathers, soil, wire and cloth to provide a place to roost, breed and nurture their offspring. With the impact of human activities, some birds have begun to build nests on artificial facilities such as high-voltage pylons and substations.

These artificial facilities not only provide a stable support and enough space, but also avoid the threat of ground predators. However, this also creates a new problem for the birds themselves: defecation.

Birds defecate frequently and in large quantities, especially during the breeding season. Birds nesting on high-voltage towers, substations and other facilities may contaminate the equipment with their droppings, affecting its normal operation. More seriously, bird droppings contain conductive substances such as urates, which may lead to short-circuit accidents when the droppings accumulate to a certain level. Bird droppings also attract insects and other animals, further increasing the safety risks of the equipment. Therefore, how to effectively solve this problem has become a focus of attention.

At present, various solutions have been proposed and practiced to address the problem of birds nesting and defecating on high-voltage pylons, substations and other facilities. One of the most commonly used methods is the installation of bird protection devices. In order to effectively repel birds, power grid companies have adopted a variety of bird-proof devices:

1,< strong>Wind Bird Repeller: Through the dynamic rotation combined with the light and shadow effect formed by the reflector on the device, it interferes with and scares the birds, and achieves the effect of bird repelling. This device is easy to install, simple and durable, widely adaptable and maintenance-free, is one of the important tools for power grid bird repellent.

2, < strong>Anti-bird spikes: After installation, it can prevent birds from nesting, roosting or staying in the area for a long time. Consisting of multiple steel wires that are spread out when installed, the wires are elastic, so that when a bird tries to land on the device, the elasticity of the wires will bounce them off quickly, preventing the bird from finding a landing spot.

3. Ultrasonic, laser and bird-repellent devices: the use of green laser beams to repel birds in a non-contact manner. Laser bird repellent to all kinds of birds have significant repellent effect, the effective distance is far, and birds are difficult to adapt to it.

4,< strong>Artificial bird's nest: also known as artificial bird setter, through the birds to the line tower non-electrified section "camping", so as to alleviate the contradiction between the protection of birds and the line hidden danger. The setting of artificial bird's nest not only solves the nesting needs of birds, but also avoids the adverse impact of birds on the power grid.

Through a combination of True Bird Repellent Technology the above multiple measures will help to achieve the bird protection and power protection The goal of both. On the one hand, the grid failure rate is significantly reduced and power transmission efficiency is guaranteed; on the other hand, the survival needs of birds are also satisfied to a certain extent.
