Birds aren’t particularly picky when building their nests. The twigs, thin wires, and even plastic ropes they gather—once they fall onto power lines—can instantly cause a short circuit and trip the circuit breaker. Even more unpredictable is bird droppings. These droppings are highly corrosive, and if they accumulate on shiny insulators, they can cause flashover failures during humid weather.

During the bird-repelling process, it emits an ultrasonic sound whose frequency continuously fluctuates between 16 kHz and 25 kHz.
